Education<\/em> is a broad term and crosses all the actions here in Sesc RJ.<\/p>\n

Beyond that, we’ve got an entire area that believes Education not only has to do with knowledge, but also to memory, to joy, to less inequalities and with the full development of people.<\/p>\n

That\u00b4s why the Education we do in Sesc RJ encompasses all ages. It\u00b4s a social action!<\/p>\n

Do you know how we do that?<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Early Childhood Education Schools <\/em>and in Sesc+ Inf\u00e2ncia <\/em>project, children actively take part in the agenda, the projects, the process of subject picking. They occupy the territory and exchange with other schools, museums, shared and collective productions, integrating their families. The Early Childhood Education Schools are <\/em>in Sesc Niter\u00f3i and Sesc Nova Igua\u00e7u and Sesc+ Inf\u00e2ncia project<\/em>, which works with children between 6 and 13 years old in 11 Sesc units. And we will expand even more!<\/p>\n

What about Education and Inclusion?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Did you know we have a program called Inclusion Reference Centre in <\/em>Sesc RJ (CREI)?<\/strong><\/p>\n

An inclusive education is urgent and imperative. In Sesc, the Inclusion Reference Centre <\/em>(CREI) embraces a whole set of actions and people for an anti-ableist education. We provide service for the autistic and T21 (Down Syndrome), as well as training, supporting network for families and social mobilization — everything connected to other sectors of society in a perspective that fosters autonomy.<\/p>\n

Following this path, we must speak about an anti-racist education!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Consci\u00eancias<\/em> is our project for an anti-racist education. It promotes reflections over socio-historical contexts from renowned researchers, scientists, artists, institutions, collective collaborations; everybody together building a rich debate over racism, seeking ways and strategies for surmounting such an archaic issue, as well as highlighting the worthy contribution of Black People for the composition of Brazilian society.<\/p>\n

Speaking of inclusion, diversity and education beyond walls, we also offer language courses with exclusive content, including a special programming with workshops, cultural fairs, meetings, seminars, exchanging programs as well as virtual and in-person activities.<\/p>\n

Last but not least, we must consider the importance of science and technology in our daily lives.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That\u00b4s why we have places projected for maker activities, culture making, robotics, digital and nerd culture, games, scientific broadcasting projects and activities for all ages that circumscribe science, technology and its relationship with culture and society.<\/p>\n
